March Empties

April 10, 2018

I seriously can't believe the amount of products I use up every month! When I started collecting my empties I didn't think that I would have enough products to make a post every month, I thought I would have to do one every 2-3 months, but girl was I wrong. I use up so many products every month, I don't even know where they come from.

This month I've used up about the same amount of products in all three categories; skincare, body/hair and makeup. In my skincare empties there is a wide variety of brands and products, and I've almost used up one product for every step in my skincare routine, in addition to a couple of mask. In my body/hair category it comes as no surprise that the majority of the products are from Korres. They have, as most of you know, my all time favorite body products, but this month it was a few more than usual. When it comes to the makeup I've used up there is actually way more than usual. I've actually used up two foundations, two mascaras and two brow pencils! I must say tho that all of these have been open for much longer than one month, they just happened to run out all on the same time.

My empty skincare products:
  • Laneige Perfect Pore Cleansing Oil. This is the best cleansing oil I've tried so far. It removes absolutely every last bit of my makeup without stinging my eyes, and it's so easy to rinse of. I will definitely repurchase.
  • Ole Henriksen Find Your Balance Oil Control Cleanser. My favorite morning cleanser. It keeps my oils under control and helps prevent breakouts, without been to drying. Will always repurchase.
  • Erborian Ginseng Smoothing Effect Essence. Enjoyed this serum, it has this light gel texture so it absorbs really quickly. Gave my skin a good amount of moisture, but not my favorite serum. Will probably not repurchase.
  • Skin Camilla Pihl Anti-Age Eye Cream. This eye cream was a little heavy for me, it gave a lot of moisture and I really liked that it had SPF 15 in it, but it wasn't a favorite. Won't repurchase this one.
  • Jan Thomas Studio Skincare Beauty Boost Day Cream. Liked this day cream quite a bit, it is lightweight and gave my skin a good amount of hydration. I'll might buy this again.
  • Korres Olive Creamy Exfoliating Scrub. I really liked this scrub, a good amount of grains, but unfortunately I can't stand the scent of this, so I will not repurchase.
  • Jan Thomas Studio Skincare Up and Away Facial Wipes. These wipes did a really good job with removing my makeup, and since they're unscented they didn't sting my eyes or irritate my skin in any way, would probably repurchase.
  • Ole Henriksen Firm Action Mask. This used to be one of my all time favorite clay masks. It has this mousse like texture that glides so easily on the skin without drying it out, and it smells so good. The only downside is that Ole Henriksen discontinued this so I can't get it anymore..
  • Cosrx Holy Moly Snail Mask. This one I wrote a full review on, so I'll link it here

My empty body/hair products:

  • Korres Coconut Milk Bodymilk. My favorite body lotion, of course! You know I love Korres body products. This is so lightweight and absorbs really quickly, and it gives me just the right amount of moisture. Will always buy the Korres bodymilks.
  • Korres Verbena Showergel. The only shower gels I use. Use one up every month, I just switch up the scents.
  • Korres Olive Blossom Body Scrub. This scrub I use when I want my skin to be soft and smooth, it doesn't have that much grain in it, so I don't use it when I'm getting of my tan or anything, but still love it. Would repurchase.
  • Korres Intimate Area Cleanser. Must have, love it. Makes me feel so fresh and clean.
  • Batiste Original Dry Shampoo. Will always love these, can't be without them, I use it several times a week.
  • Sachajuan Hair Repair. Not a favorite, this one I used up just to use it up. Didn't like the scent, and I didn't think that the product did enough for me. Would not buy again.
  • L'oreal Le Flash Manicure Remover. I like these instant nail polish removers, but the only problem is that I use mostly black nail polish so the sponge get so dirty and then stain my fingers. Would probably not repurchase.

My empty makeup products:
  • Artdeco Mineral Powder Foundation. Really enjoy this for the days when I don't want a full face of makeup or when my skin is acting up. When I use it with a flattop kabuki brush it actually gives a medium to full coverage. Will repurchase.
  • Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara. This mascara I must say I really enjoyed, it gave me a good amount of volume and length without being to clumpy. The only problem I had with this is that it is so hard to get of your lid if you spill any. Would maybe repurchase.
  • NYX Micro Brow Pencil. My holy grail brow pencil, works so well. Just the right texture that fills in my brows so beautifully without looking too unnatural.
  • Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed Powder. Can't be without this, use it every day. The cheapest and best powder to keep my skin matte all dat.
  • Max Factor Healthy Skin Harmony Foundation. This is my go-to foundation for my everyday look, and this is the second bottle I've used up. It works so well with my skin, gives me a natural glow without getting oily, and it stays put all day.
  • Make Up For Ever Step 1 Skin Equalizer Mattifying Primer. My all-time favorite primer for my oily T-sone. It is the only primer I've found that controls my oils all day and keeps my makeup in place. I of course had already bought a backup of this.
  • Artdeco High Definition Volume Mascara. Really enjoyed this mascara, as I do with all the Artdeco mascaras. It gave me a lot of volume and length, it also separated my lashes and held up all day.
  • Jan Thomas Studio Cosmetics Bronzing Powder. This bronzer is my go-to, I know that it will always work. It has the perfect color for my skin tone and it blends so well with my other products.
  • Depend Slim&Thin Eyebrow Pencil. This is really similar to the NYX Micro Brow Pencil, so I did enjoy this as well, would buy again.
  • Beauty Blender Cleanser Solid. This is a very well known product for washing your beauty blender and makeup brushes. Of course I think it works very well, but I think its a little bit expensive for what it is. I could just use a regular bar soap and get the same results. Probably won't buy again.
