Todays post will be a review of the new Max Factor Healthy Skin Harmony Miracle Foundation. I bought this foundation a couple of days ago from my local VITA, which is a Norwegian beauty and makeup store. This foundation grabbed my attention basically because the display said "shine control", and with my combination/oily skin that is something I am constantly looking for.
In addition to shine control the foundation claims to hydrate for 24 hours for a nourished skin, it claims to absorb oil, and it contains SPF 20 and vitamins. According to Max Factors webside they also claim that the foundation will adapt to your skins needs throughout the day, and that it is a multi-tasking product that will help you achieve a flawless and radiant healthy skin look in one application.
The product contains 30 ml/1.0 FL.OZ and costs 185 NOK ($23). The foundation comes in a glass bottle with a pump, which I really appreciate. It looks and feels really luxurious, except from the plastic lid with these weird gold stripes, I personally dont like it, so I threw away the lid, it is basically just in the way anyway.
In the past I haven't been the biggest fan of Max Factors foundations, I have never found one that would fit my skin or my skin tone. So when I bought this I didn't have the biggest expectations, but thought I would try it anyway.
The consistency of the foundation is not too thick, but still not too thin and runny, and I would say that the coverage is medium to full. It also has a really good scent to it. The foundation dries down to a semi-matte finish and my other products blended beautifully on top of it.
The other day when I tried the foundation out for the first time I left my home at approximately 9 A.M. and I brought some blotting sheets and powder with me (I always do this when I try out new foundations), just in case I would get oily during the day. I checked my face several times that day and my skin looked so good, it wasn't super matte, it had this natural glow without being oily. When I got home at 5 pm I thought I would need to do my makeup over before going out with my boyfriend, but no, I just powdered a little and we went out. We didn't get home until 11 pm and the foundation still looked flawless!
I have used the foundation for a few days now and I am so impressed! It works so good with my skin, it just gives it this natural glow without getting oily. I did not expect that at all, Max Factor is seriously stepping up their game. I never thought I would find a drugstore foundation that would compete with my Clarins Everlasting Foundation, but I think I just found it. I would definitely recommend this foundation it you have normal to commotion/oily skin.
